Description:
Work in a class 1 semiconductor wafer manufacturing Cleanroom that is primarily a low-volume, wide-product mix R&D production type facility. Semiconductor wafers are processed through various types of advanced semiconductor equipment. The technician would initially be assigned to a specific area of the fab working primarily under the direction of a process engineer in their respective area. The areas of the fab include photolithography, oxidation, thin film deposition, etching, ion implantation, planarization, and wet processing. The technician’s primary role is to operate processing equipment and perfom both standards and non-standard processes on wafers, including coordinating work flow, collecting and analyzing data, and communicating work in progress. Various measurements on wafers are also required. Tasks are performed within full-scale production manufacturing operations following established methods and tasks or specialized assignments. Once trained, the technician may also be assigned to provide core skill training to others. The technician would be involved in team projects working with peers, engineers, and managers to solve problems and improve processes and procedures that enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling. Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or an Associate’s degree from a vocational school specializing in semiconductor technology or experience deemed appropriate for this position. Description:
The Radiation Protection Program of SNL is seeking two senior radiological control technicians (RCTs) to provide operational radiation protection support to line organizations. Senior RCTs implement numerous critical elements of the WSNL Radiation protection Program, which is established to meet the requirements of 10CFR835. Senior RCTs are responsible for monitoring radiological work, prescribing radiological control for various radiological activities, and conducting and documenting radiological surveys. They interpret and verify field data accumulated from radiological surveys and monitoring activities. They routinely interface directly with radiological workers of various disciplines and backgrounds throughout SNL and provide guidance on regulatory requirements and best health physics practices. Senior RCTs may be asked to respond to on-site radiological incidents and emergencies and/or off-site in support of DOE requests. This work involves lifting and carrying on a daily basis up to 40 lbs. Of monitoring and associated equipment, being outdoors in all elements a portion of the time, and potentially working in the presence of hazardous materials. Potential hazards in customer workspaces include, but are not limited to, chemicals, safety hazards, biological hazards, lasers, noise, and ergonomic hazards. Required: These positions require a minimum of three years operational experience as an RCT (e.g. ANSI 3.1). Description:
Architectural/Civil/Structural (A/C/S) Construction Observer: Sandia Delegated Representative’s (SDR) representative in carrying out the field administration of the construction contract for the architectural/civil/structural discipline to determine Contractor’s compliance with the contract drawings and specifications, and building, life safety, accessibility, and environment, safety, and health (ES&H) codes. These projects are aimed at developing tools for improving water resources management in general and for developing international cooperation on trans-boundary water resources management. We need help at all levels in all the projects over the long term, but we have an immediate need for help with the Rio Grande project. At a basic level, we need help gathering information and data on the hydrology, agriculture, demographics and ecology for the Rio Grande watershed from Ft. Quitman to the mouth, and with data sorting, data quality evaluation, and database development. At a higher level, we need help building system dynamics models, and writing reports, papers and proposals. Depending on the contractor's skills and interests, she or he could help with the more basic work for a few months and then move on, or grow with the project, develop and/or exercise other skills, and stay with the project for years.
